This wonderful ancient vellum tome will quicken the pulse of any antiquarian seeing it on my shelf. Usually the pleasure is short lived as books like these often turn out to be very dull inside, such as a boring religious commentary from the 18th century. Well in this case I’m pleased to say it keeps its promise, as this is NOT a boring religious commentary from the 18th century. It’s an 18th century manuscript copy of a boring religious commentary, which makes it very desirable indeed. Manuscripts! I love them; especially when they look this good. The book is 5 inches by 7 inches, with 554 pages of black ink script, in Latin, bound in old vellum. Gorgeous, unique and authentic, I’ll be bringing many more manuscripts along to the fair so get out your quill, grind up the galls and make a note on a scrap of parchment to pop up to stand 199.
This is priced at £295.
