The 2024 Brighton Book Fair is approaching – and I need to buy books!

Books

Great news for book lovers – the Brighton Book Fair returns to the main hall of Brighton Racecourse on Saturday October 26th. This is our fourth year there and as the manager I’m really looking forward to meeting my fellow collectors on the big day. In the meantime I’m still very keen to visit houses to buy books – all the more so as I’m fast running out of stock!

I love book fairs and if you love books, you’ll love them too. The Provincial Booksellers’ Fairs Association (the P.B.F.A.) is the country’s largest association of professional book sellers and we hold about 60 fairs a year, ‘from St. Ives to Aberdeen and everywhere in between.’  This year we are celebrating our 50th anniversary of ‘bringing books to the people’ and I’m proud to be playing my part, travelling the country and taking part in the fairs, which are like massive ‘pop-up’ book shops. In fact I’ll be doing four fairs in September alone which is why I urgently need to buy books! If you have a collection to sell please do get in touch on 07769 31 88 95 or by emailing me on jeremy@antiquarianbookcompany.com. Unlike a lot of other book dealers I also buy old photographs and albums, prints, magazines, pop memorabilia, manuscripts and typescripts, ephemera, postcards, maps and more. In fact if it’s on paper, give me a call – you never know…
