The Book Fairs Have Started, And I Need To Buy Books!

These shelves are now practically empty.

It’s been a very busy start to the year with three book fairs so far – and it’s still January! The first was in York, where over 100 P.B.F.A. professional book dealers gathered for our first Premier Fair of the year. I love York and it was interesting to see the flooded river completely covering the footpaths and even the park benches. Last weekend was a double. On Saturday I was at the first Lewes Book Fair of the year in the town hall as usual. I love this local fair and so do my customers – I sold seven boxes of books! Then it was back home and ‘all change’ for Sunday and the Bloomsbury Fair in London the next day. I sold plenty there as well. You can find out more about these book fairs on my Fairs Page here.

And that, of course, is just the start. I have another three fairs in February and I’m selling books just as quickly as I buy them. The photograph here shows my shelves at the start of the York Fair. I have sold practically ALL of those books now. If you have any old books, magazines, maps, photographs, posters, postcards or ephemera, please do get in touch. If it’s on paper, give me a call on 07769 31 8895, or email me by clicking the link at the bottom of this page. It’s worth getting in touch and you never know, it could be just the sort of thing I’m after. Thanks!
