Brighton Pride is this weekend. They have been building the multi-stage site in Preston Park all week. This beer mat is from 1995 when the event was somewhat smaller – just a few pubs and clubs and a carnival procession….

This poster is from the late 1950s and is beyond cool. It’s eye-catching, perfectly balanced and elegant. The ‘Jazz Contest’ event was organised by Brighton Art Students, who must have seemed like a shocking bunch of beatniks at the time….
