Groovy Baby! This is a gorgeous technicolour A5 poster to advertise Disney’s Fantasia in 1970. The border has a space for the local cinema details and in our case it was the Brighton Film Theatre in North Street. Apparently the film was re-issued late in the swinging sixties to capitalise on a new generation of viewers: ones who were very keen to ‘take a trip’ down to the cinema and let all those gorgeous colours wash over them like a, you know, incredible blanket of sounds, man… Were you there? If you were, this poster will be at the Brighton Book Fair on October 30th so you might like to come along and stare at it for a few hours!
