Not Actually Forbidden Love; or, For Women Only.

‘For Women Only’ claims the title, and as it was published in 1969 I suppose anything was possible.  The come-on text on the cover must have had the publishers rolling over the desks with laughter – but that’s where the action stops with this one. As your intrepid reporter it was my duty to go with the author as he ‘pierces the perfumed curtain of commuterland’ and frankly if any lesbians did buy it I hope they got their money back. I spent a whole three minutes flicking through the yellowing pages to discover nothing but good old fashioned heterosexual misogyny, and not much of that. Still, low-thrill exploitation novels are enormous fun and tomorrow we’ll look at one more choice title and see what happens when drinks ‘n’ dames mix…
